Camille and Henry Dreyfus Lectureship at the University of Basel
The annual Camille and Henry Dreyfus Lectureship at the University of Basel memorializes the Dreyfus brothers who both received their PhDs there (Camille in 1901 and Henry in 1905). It provides the means for the University to bring leading U.S.-based scientists in chemistry and the chemical sciences to its campus, thus enhancing the relationship of Swiss and U.S. science.
The Dreyfus Lecturer delivers two lectures – a technical presentation for the faculty and students, and a second presentation for a broader audience. In addition, the visitor is expected to spend some time directly interacting with the faculty and students.
